Economic and Social Empowerment of Rural Communities (ESERC) is a non-profit organisation committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations across Nigeria. We focus on empowering women, children, and groups through health care, education, advocacy, and interventions tailored to local needs and realities in rural communities.
We implement programmes that promote child protection, gender equality, HIV/AIDS awareness, and empowerment. Through partnerships, we provide essential services and support for orphans, vulnerable children, and women affected by poverty, harmful practices, and limited access to education and healthcare across Nigeria’s rural regions.
ESERC also advocates for governance, rights, and climate sustainability by engaging communities in awareness campaigns, policy dialogues, and development initiatives. We promote inclusive systems, impact, and measurable growth by applying evidence-based approaches, monitoring and evaluation, and grassroots involvement in all interventions.
We expand access to quality healthcare in rural areas through rights-based advocacy, RMNCH services, community health structures, and stakeholder engagement.
We improve immunization access in hard-to-reach areas by training local health teams, engaging leaders, and tracking coverage for zero-dose and under-immunized children.
We promote inclusive education for out-of-school children and youth via school support, digital access, vocational training, life skills, and community-based learning opportunities.
We work with families, schools, and authorities to strengthen systems that prevent child abuse, support orphans, and promote safe environments for every child.
We provide HIV prevention and care, especially for vulnerable groups, using peer education and public health awareness campaigns within underserved communities.
We combat gender-based violence & harmful norms via survivor care, legal aid, public awareness, and leadership development to uphold justice and advance gender equality.
We engage in inclusive policy dialogue, civic participation, and evidence-based advocacy, working with institutions to reform laws and strengthen rights-based social systems.
We empower women, youth, and vulnerable groups through skills training, microgrants, enterprise support, and cooperative strengthening to boost financial resilience.
We empower locals via mentoring, leadership training, and participatory planning to strengthen community resilience & promote sustainable grassroots development.
We deliver direct support and psychosocial care to at-risk groups while advocating for fair social policies that prioritize widows, children, IDPs, and persons with disabilities.
We promote clean energy and climate education while supporting rural adaptation strategies and engaging communities in sustainable development initiatives.
