On 21st May 2026, members of the Enugu State Gender-Based Violence Taskforce held her May 2026 Monthly meeting at the Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development. It was a strategic planning meeting aimed at strengthening the effectiveness and impact of the Taskforce across Enugu State.
The meeting focused on developing improved frameworks, coordination mechanisms, and referral pathways to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Task Force. Participants engaged in productive discussions on enhancing collaboration among stakeholders, strengthening response systems, and improving service delivery for survivors and vulnerable populations.
A key outcome of the meeting was the planning and coordination of upcoming outreach activities scheduled for the coming months. These outreaches will focus on raising awareness, promoting prevention, and expanding access to support services within communities across the state.
The Task Force remains committed to fostering a safer society through collaboration, advocacy, and strategic action, while working tirelessly to address gender-based violence and protect the rights and dignity of all.
