Why We Work

At ESERC, we are driven by the vision of a just, inclusive, and equitable society where children, women, and vulnerable populations thrive in dignity, health, and security. Our work is rooted in a deep commitment to human rights, gender equality, and sustainable development. We work to:

    • Improve the quality of life for children particularly those in rural and underserved communities through access to education, health, and protection services.
    • Promote, protect, and uphold the rights of all children in line with national laws and international conventions.
    • Develop and implement innovative programmes and learning materials to support early childhood care, education, and development.
    • Mobilize and build the capacity of communities to drive sustainable solutions for child survival, development, and protection.
    • Empower women and girls through education, leadership development, economic opportunities, and protection from gender-based violence.
    • Prevent and respond to HIV/AIDS through awareness, testing, care, support, and the promotion of stigma-free services for affected individuals and communities..
    • Mainstream HIV/AIDS and gender equality into all development programmes and organizational practices.
    • Promote and revive positive traditional child-rearing and family values that support holistic development and social cohesion.
    • Conduct research and policy analysis on issues affecting children, women, and families, to inform programme design and influence decision-making.
    • Design and deliver community-focused education programmes that increase awareness of child, youth, and women’s development needs and rights.
    • Implement participatory community development initiatives that foster local ownership and resilience.
    • Promote integrated agriculture, nutrition, and the establishment of model farms to improve food security and livelihoods.
    • Facilitate skills acquisition and promote the socio-economic rights of marginalized groups, particularly women and youth.
    • Advance human rights education, civic participation, and social accountability through grassroots engagement and policy advocacy.
