The Economic and Social Empowerment of Rural Communities (ESERC) participated in the Start-Up Workshop organized by the Embassy of France in Nigeria for beneficiaries of the French Embassy Fund for Civil Society Organizations (FEF-CSO). The workshop, held in Abuja on May 28, 2025, marked the official commencement of the implementation phase for projects supported under the Fund.
The start-up workshop brought together representatives of selected civil society organizations from across Nigeria to strengthen collaboration, provide orientation on project implementation, and promote effective management of projects funded under the French Embassy Fund for CSOs.
Throughout the workshop, participants received guidance on project planning, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting requirements, communication strategies, and donor compliance. The sessions also created opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among organizations implementing projects in different thematic areas.
For ESERC, the workshop represented an important milestone in its partnership with the French Embassy in advancing community-driven solutions to pressing social challenges. The organization’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to implementing high-impact interventions that strengthen community resilience, promote gender equality, protect vulnerable populations, and contribute to sustainable development.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for ESERC to engage directly with representatives of the French Embassy and fellow implementing organizations, exchange experiences, and explore innovative approaches to maximizing project impact and sustainability.
As a recipient of the French Embassy Fund for Civil Society Organizations, ESERC remains committed to delivering impactful, transparent, and accountable programmes that respond to the needs of communities while contributing to national development priorities.
The organization looks forward to working closely with the Embassy of France, government institutions, development partners, and community stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the project and the achievement of meaningful, lasting outcomes for the people and communities it serves.
