Last Monday, we witnessed a powerful blend of advocacy, creativity, and impact as we successfully hosted the Press Conference and Art Exhibition under the ART WITH IMPACT initiative.
The day commenced with an engaging press conference, bringing together key stakeholders, partners, and the media to drive important conversations around ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and the critical role of art in shaping social change.
This was followed by a compelling art exhibition, where talented young creatives showcased artworks that spoke volumes — telling stories of resilience, awareness, and transformation. Each piece reflected bold expressions aimed at inspiring dialogue and change within our communities.
A major highlight of the event was the recognition and reward of outstanding student artists, whose works emerged as the most impactful:
🏆 1st Position — ₦100,000
🥈 2nd Position — ₦70,000
🥉 3rd Position — ₦50,000
These awards celebrated not just artistic excellence, but the courage to use creativity as a tool for advocacy.
This impactful initiative was supported by the French Embassy Fund for Civil Societies, in collaboration with Economic and Social Empowerment of Rural Communities, and in partnership with the Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, Enugu State.
From meaningful conversations at the press conference to inspiring artistic displays, the day clearly showed that art remains a powerful force for awareness, advocacy, and lasting societal impact.
