Today, Thursday, 11th June 2026, ESERC participated in the Global Fund Grant Cycle 8 (GC8) National Consultative Workshop on Gender Equality, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Programming in Nigeria, held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The workshop convened key stakeholders, including government institutions, United Nations agencies, CSOs, development partners, including Global Fund representatives, etc. The objective is to collectively identify priorities, gaps, and opportunities for strengthening gender equality programming, as well as advancing comprehensive GBV/IPV prevention and response interventions within Nigeria’s GC8 funding framework.
As we look ahead to the Global Fund Grant Cycle 8, which places strong emphasis on the intersection of HIV and GBV, ESERC remains fully committed to contributing its expertise, strengthening partnerships, and driving impactful, survivor-centered interventions that promote gender equality and protect the rights and dignity of vulnerable populations.
